After having a discussion with Chad this week about my recent difficulties staying motivated to exercise and eat healthy, we discovered that my biggest deterrent and stumbling block is the scale!! I'll admit to stepping on the scale several times a week...ok, maybe even once a day. As he said, oftentimes the scale brings bad news. Granted, I've lost roughly 13 lbs yet my mind doesn't see the progress! Instead it obsesses about how many MORE I have to lose (which is overwhelming...let me just tell you that!) Besides that, the scale is very misleading when it comes to overall health! It's just a number and it doesn't factor in the muscle gained, fluctuations in water weight, the % of body fat lost, the BMI, the cholesterol level...nothing!Therefore it's been decided that the scale is a worthless piece of equipment and I'm going to get rid of it. I just can't decide how to do it! I have all kinds of scenarios going through my head...here are just a few......




Ok...enough silly stuff! :) I actually have housecleaning and work to do! I'm such a slacker! I'll try to write more later.
