Are you bored with the same tedious exercise routine? Do you crave something new and exciting? How about trying Tae Kwon Do?It was too cold last night to exercise outside so my brother Todd and I practiced Tae Kwon Do footwork and kicks instead. (Todd has his black belt in TKD as well as my Dad and my brother Jeff) It was a really great cardio workout never mind a perfect outlet for pent up aggression and frustration...that is if you happen to have any....which I don't.....(me: rolling my eyes)
I learned how to give the illusion that I'm approaching or retreating from someone very quickly simply by changing up my footwork, I was taught how to put my kicking leg in the "chamber", extend my foot in the correct way then return to my properly balanced foot position. He also taught me how to spar and punch without breaking anything! It was fun (as you can see by the photo! lol)
So if you find yourself burnt out by your regular cardio routine (or simply afraid of an elliptical machine) try something new and exciting and change up your routine! You'll be glad you did!
